Holy Spongebob

June 27, 2010

So guess what?

The guy texted back! I feel like a giddy little school girl with those tiny anxious butterflies fluttering around in my stomach. Eeeeeeeek I’m excited.. he seems like such an awesome and goofy guy.

Tomorrow I’m meeting up with him and next weekend we’re getting together for the 4th.

Life. is. good.

So anyways, today my mom and I went on the longest bike ride of our lives. Ok scratch that, it was no Echelon Gran Fondo, but it was really really freaking hot.

We rode on the Pinellas Trailfrom Dunedin all the way up to Tarpon Springs.

Along the way, we made a pit stop at Wall Springs Park.

Thank goodness I saw this sign. I almost went for a quick swim in the trees.

Chillin with some seagulls. You know how I do.

Pardon the always shhhexy bike helmet hair.

Pretty sure boardwalks are one of the best inventions everrrr.

Cat tails have always looked like corn dogs to me. #nomnomnom

(Sometimes I forget that hash tags are only for Twitter.)

::Palm to forehead::

We finally made it to Tarpon Springs, the Sponge Capital of the World.

Holy Spongebob.

Fact: I literally almost fell over the seawall attempting to take this pic lol.

For flower arrangements, wall decorations… or sponge baths.

Bullwinkle anyone?

On the way back to Dunedin my mom and I split an Oatmeal Raisin Clifbar. Yum, yum, gimme some.

2 hours later.. wefinally made it back to the truck.

Hottest day ever.

Do you like taking bike rides in the morning, afternoon, or night? I have no motivation in the AM or PM.. so it’s the afternoon for me.

Mind over matter.

Hey girl! Yeeeeaa for that guy getting back to you! (he knows whats up!) :) I really don’t enjoy bike riding at all! My seat is so uncomfortable lol..but if I had to choose, it would have to be a morning bike ride :) Coolest in the am!

Can’t wait to hear how your time with the mystery man goes!! :-)
And wow, that seems like a long bike ride in the heat…I would
probably be whining the whole time–but I love spongebob, so
it’d be worth it to make it to the “Sponge Capital” lol.

Spongebob! I just added seasons 1 and 2 to my Netflix Instant Queue. Greatest. Idea. Ever. :)
Props on the bike riding. I am trying to wrap my mind around living in a “Bike Friendly Town” come September. I can’t ride a bike to save my life!

GET IT GIRL!!! I want all the juicy deets on this guy. Hanging out on the fourth will be so romantic. Hopefully you’ll see “fireworks” ;) Oh god, that was corny.

sounds like a fun way to spend time with your mom – even if it was incredibly hot! I have to say, those sponges look unreal!

We love bikes rides! I try to get the fam out in the morning before it gets too hot for the kids. For me anytime is good.

WOO HOO ! I *LOVE* that feeling of new – guy excitement… Jason and I have been together almost 6 years, and we sometimes still get that. SQUEE~!

Yay for you and 4th of July – fun !

    cattail = TOTALLY a corndog.

Right now, I generally work out / run in the morning… In the past with gym memberships I had an evening schedule. For some reason I am now so freaked out with ANYTHING disturbing my sleep schedule I don’t know if I could do late anymore! :)

Bike ride looks like a blast!!

I love bike rides! As far as dealing with the heat, I do prefer to take the ride in the AM but I’m like you, it’s hard to get up that early. But once I force myself to do it, I’m glad I did. But honestly, I’ll ride anytime of the day. There’s nothing like coasting on a trail or around your town with some music playing as the soundtrack to your life.
