The Most Randomly Jersey Shore-ish Weekend of My Life
Holaaa my peoples!
Last weekend, my friend from college & I went to the land of Guido’s, juice heads, tanning beds, duck phones, pickles and Snooki slippers.
AKA The Jersey Shore!
Honestly, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into, other than the fact that we wanted to see the Jersey Shore House. (Summer Bucket List!)
And well…
We did.
The house looks SO much smaller in real life.
Just like in the show, the house sat right behind the T-shirt Shop on the Boardwalk and their boss was even working while we were there!
Karma was about a mile down the boardwalk.
Looked tiny too!
After that majaaaa pit stop, we made our way to Atlantic City.
We stayed in a $63/ night Inn right along the Boardwalk that had no AC, TV, wifi or bathroom (it was down the hall.. dorm room style.)
This little gem was called The Irish Pub Inn. The Inn portion of the building sat above an Irish Pub. Win-win if I do say so myself.
Found it online by Googling: “cheapest hotel ever in Atlantic City” and its TripAdvisor Reviews sounded pretty legit, so I booked it right away.
We were a little skeptical at first, but as soon as we checked out the rooms, we felt so much better!
The rooms were so cute!
There were old antiques everywhere and it reminded me of my great aunt & uncle’s house in Ohio… and Disney’s The Haunted Mansion, in a non-creeper way.
Can’t beat that view for $63!
Atlantic City Experience in a Nutshell:
Lost $6 in the slot machine. (Yes, only 6. I am poor people.)
Took an approximately 5 hour long beach nap.
Jumped into the Atlantic Ocean.
Randomly took a free limo.
Ate our weight in fried pickles, chicken fingers…
and Meatloaf.
And I ran 12 miles early Saturday morning before it.
GTL.
PS The Stick = Awesome. Finally gave in and bought one. Review to come!
Lessons learned in Atlantic City:
Do not wear high heels on the boardwalk.
No matter what people tell you, an Irish Car Bomb does not taste like a Frappuccino.
Plans are overrated. Just wing it.
Butterscotch ice cream will change your life.
The Pool at Harrah’s is gorgeous. Go there.
You may randomly run into 3 of the Jersey Shore Crew.
(Deena was about 4 feet tall)

Your inner guido will come out.
Exploring the Tri-State area with old college friends is pretty amazing
Pauly D and Vinny are adorable.
But we already knew that…

Haha looks like fun! Priceline is great for cheap hotels, too.
Looks like an amazing time!
hahaha so glad you got the full-on Jersey Shore experience!!! It’s something everyone should experience once and looked like a blast.
…and OMG I’m in love with The Stick.
What is this stick??
What a weekend! I LOVE how spontaneous and adventurous you are…seriously making so many memories in NYC and the surrounding areas to last a lifetime! xo
yay shore! i grew up in NJ but didn’t spend nearly as much time there as my friends did.
OMG I can’t believe you saw them!!! Totally jealous!!! Haha, I would love to do a Jersey Shore weekend and see all the sights from the show. And a beach day is definitely my thing.
Sounds like a great weekend!
this looks so fun!
You have the best fun, Shannon!!!
hahahaha…so ive never actually watched the jersey shore. it hurts my eyes. but i might now, just so i can go mimic your weekend. looks awesome!
and i agree…the stick = heaven!
have you tried a foam roller? also pretty amazeballs.
hahahaha….my only gripe about this post is that i wasn’t there! seriously, i am pretty sure we are destined to be friends in real life.
i have also googled “cheapest hotel ever” except that it was for madison, wi and not atlantic city, so way not as cool.
glad you had so much fun!
OMG love this! Such a funny road trip…I want to do one just like it. In addition to the random trip to NYC to Philly that I’m planning to drag my boyfriend on so we can get original cheesesteaks, then drive home.
Ahh! Looks like you guys had SUCH a great time! What a fun idea! And girl, that food… um… delicious!
