That may be an outtake from a few weeks ago, but hey, I am terrible at remembering my camera.

That and I am a lovely ghostly/marshmallowy/ maynonaisey pale color.

Carryin’ on – life has been delicious.

Every morning, I devour a bowl of overnight oatswith craisins (I’ll buy you more, Sarah!!!) in about 15 seconds.

And we can’t forget the iced coffee. Oh no no no.

You can take a girl out of Florida, but you can’t take the Floridian out of a girl. No matter the temp, iced coffee > hot coffee.

This bad boy was for lunch today.

One mighty fine Falafel Salad from Maoz Vegetarian on 40th Street and 7th Ave.

If you’re ever wandering around Times Square wondering what the heck to eat, please go here.. it will change your life.

Basically all you do is pick falafel in salad or pita form and then load it up with healthy bits and doodads from the topping buffet. Psssst! Go big or go home on the tzatziki sauce!

Any-who, I wish I had a more exciting story for you.

The only random thing I can think of is that last night I took a personality quiz, and it said I was a hippie.

For breakfast I made oatmeal with raisins sprinkled on top that I bought for $1 at a somewhat creepy Walgreens in her neighborhood.

Never pretty, but always tasty.

By the time we all showered, scrounged up breakfast from my sister’s bare fridge, and figured out what the heck we were gonna wear, it was already noon.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous out today! I could get used to this now humidity thing. We strolled through her neighborhood in Washington Heights and then hopped on the nearest subway to Central Park.

Gorgeous.

Don’t you wish there was a realCentral Perk coffee shop from the show Friends in NYC? Why can’t that show just be real? There are too many Starbucks out here..

Afterwards we made our way over to The Plaza Hotel.

Random fact: Home Alone is my all time favorite movie. I can watch and quote it over and over and ovaaa again.

For lunch we stopped at a cute and inexpensive deli right around the corner of The Plaza.

For $8.50 you could get a huge bowl of romaine lettuce with unlimited toppings.

I ordered that with a Hazelnut Iced Coffee for $2.35. Also had some of my mom’s Walnut Chicken Salad Wrap.

Next up were the Trump Towers which were very fancy shmancy.

We walked along 5th Avenue– where New Yorkers get their shop on. My shopping trip was an epic #fail unfortunately.

The last stop of the day was the Ed Sullivan Theater. Gosh I love Letterman… my brother and I stay up many weeknights just to watch his show.

For me, Letterman > Conan > Leno ( except for his Jaywalking segment.. LOVE that)

The Hello Deli always makes me smile. I met Rupert there the last time I was in NYC.. today the shop was all locked up.

Tomorrow we’re exploring Soho, Chinatown, Little Italy, and hopefully seeing a Broadway show.

So I haven’t been the best foodie lately, but here are a few random things I’ve remembered to snap pics of. Trust me, you would get extremely bored of daily McDonald’s chicken nugget posts.

The Twitter world can probably attest to this. Unlike Ke$ha and her boys, McD’s has blown up my phone –as well as my Twitpic gallery.

Alright so usually at some point in the day, I munch on some Greek yogurt. Recently though, the shelves in every Publix have been completely blown out of the wata of Chobani. Apparently, the Greek Yogurt trend has finally caught on outside of the blog world my friends.

Keep your friends close, but your Chobani stash closer.

My favorite late afternoon pick-me-up has been the simple, yet tasty PB & J wrap.

It was all about the Noodle Dance back in the day.

I haven’t been too much of a salad fan lately– but this one rocked my world. Ken’s Italian Dressing will change your life.

It’s almost the weekend!!!!!! Who’s excited?? I absolutely cannot wait- definitely plan to live out on the beach Friday night through Monday afternoon. My whole family is camping right now in Georgia, so I’ll be out on my own looking for 4th of July fun. I can’t wait to just relax and enjoy the weekend with friends.

Anyone in the Tampa Bay area wanna go to the beach with me this weekend?

Last thing reaaal quick: I recently got the new Droid Incredible and have fallen head over heels in love with it.

I tell ya, if Google took over the world one day, I think I’d be ok with it.

Before I went to tutoring one day, I made a trip to the local Publix and bought a Starbucks Double Shot Energy + Coffee Drink and a fresh fruit & walnut salad. I probably could have won a food competition, I drank and ate these both so fast.

Reading and old Women’s Health Magazine. I’m a Country music kind of girl, and I knew I had to buy this magazine when I saw Taylor Swift on the cover. Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, and Keith Urban are a few of my other favorite artists.

Learning Consumer Theory while eating an Apple Ginger Honest Foods Bar.

Review: This is my new favorite bar! The flavor was so interesting and it didn’t taste extremely sugary like CLIFBARs. This Honest Foods Bar was definitely the perfect snack to cure my late night “study munchies.” The bar has 5g of Protein, which is somewhat  low, but the unique flavor completely outweighs the nutritional stats.

I encourage you all to look at the Honest Foods website. Their marketing approach may shock you, but it will certainly get you to remember their product.

McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets.. my favorite! I promise there was a lot of honey mustard dipping action going on when I had these. Everything seems to taste better with honey mustard.

The week has finally winded down and I must say whew, it sure has been a busy one. Wednesday night I took my first Managerial Economics exam and overall, it went pretty well. This class is known to really get the gears working in your brain. I’m so jealous of  Courtney who completed it last spring!

The weather in Gainesville has dropped down to a cool 80 degrees which is very exciting. Any “cold front” is a perfect excuse for Floridians to swap out their tank top wardrobe for furry hooded jackets and Ugg Boots.

On the “food front,” this week I’ve  focused on using fresh and simple ingredients. For the few months remaining in 2009, my goal is to live simply and eat simply. Each day I’m going to find a simple, feel-good and then tweet about it. For example, yesterday’s simple, feel-good was seeing pumpkins for sale at the grocery store.

Review: This was my first time trying Chobani Greek Yogurt because well, I’ve always been a Stonyfield kind of girl. Overall, their Greek yogurt tasted just ok. I was kind of disappointed in the subtle fruity flavor and that the peach chunks were so small. For a 6oz cup, the 14 grams of protein were impressive but the 19 grams of sugars weren’t. I would buy these again though!
