$15.75 Pastrami Sandwich with Sauerkraut and pickles (that really just taste like regular cucumbers).

Wandered into Katz’s after a late night of dancing at Pianos with an old college friend last night. Around 2:30am, Katz’s was still hoppin’! This city really doesn’t sleep.

2. Eat instant oatmeal on a daily basis because it is dirt cheap.

3. Become obsessed with taking pictures of random bikes …

and vans…

and then editing the vans…

4. Drink Lava on a Tuesday.

5. Realize that eating lunch on the side of the street weirdly makes food taste 10 times better.

Including this Turkey Sammich from the Gaslight Lounge in the Meatpacking District.

It’s da troof.

6. Run a 5K in Central Park, walk to Trader Joe’s in the Upper West Side for $50 worth of groceries and then walk all the way back home in the UES with my loot.

3 hours in total with random exploring here and there.

7. Lie like a hobo in a giant field for hours and hours most weekends.

Also known as, Central Park.

8. Obsessively take pictures of street intersections that I want to come back to and explore again and again and again.

(Friends apartment complex)

(Restaurants galore in Greenwich Village.)

PS I still have NO idea how to say Greenwich and get made fun of every time.

Oh wellz.

Saturday, my sister Sarah and I hit up Central Park for some good quality fast walking time.

Along the way, we somehow stumbled upon these awesome rocks…

and from that point on, any thought of exercising went out the window.

Oops.

The immature person that I am, enjoyed taking random shots of my bootylicious knees…

and my awesome new kicks!!!

K- SWISS Tubes… I am seriously obsessed. They’re so so so light and comfy to run around in.

Next we decided to hold our own extremely fab “America’s Next Top Model” photoshoot.

Yes my friends, we Smized and got our SnackFace on.

In Midtown, we grabbed some majorly needed sandwiches at Lenny’s as a late lunch.

I got the #10, “The TC” on wheat bread.. it was just ok. It needed a tomato or something.. perhaps a free cookie.

Afterwards, we walked over to Trader Joe’s on West 72nd.

(In total for the day we walked about 6 hours!!!)

TJ’s Nothing But… Banana, Flattened has been on my mind ever since I moved up here.

It seriously tastes exactly like banana bread, minus the bread.

How bizzare, how bizzare.

My first job in the city is a professional dog walker—this past weekend anyway!

Friday night – Sunday I babysat this 6 month old Sharpei for a couple in the Upper East Side. Her name is Athena and she’s such a sweetie!

They Upper East side was about a 40 minute train/bus/walk away from my sister’s old apt in Washington Heights (we moved into a new place yesterday). Sunday the train and bus actually weren’t running, and I literally think I walked 20 miles the entire day. It took me about two hours to walk from Columbus Circle up to 81st, through the park, and to their 4th floor apartment in the UES.

My legs are so sore, but I’m excited about all of the walking we do here!

My sister Sarah and I found this fun park on Saturday morning that had camels in the playground!

Afterwards, we grabbed lunch at Lenny’s and took it down to the boat pond in Central Park.

I ordered the #11 Vegetarian Sandwich and Sarah got the #10 TC—basically a turkey reuben on pumpernickel bread.

Both looked really good so we gave each other one of our halves.

Such a pretty place.

Can you believe how quickly the Fall semester has flown by? With college final exams quickly approaching, a mixture undeniable stress and excitement has taken over our college campus. In preparation for finals, libraries have extended their visitor hours until 4am and many students have secured their own cozy nook in coffee shops and libraries all over town. For me, college finals also means a mass consumption of  Yogi tea and quick, simple sandwiches.

Within the next two weeks, my desk will be covered in notes for both Sales Management and Managerial Economics. My study buddy? The Corey Smith station on Pandora of course.
